The Hummingbird Group is a female-owned consulting firm dedicated to helping organizations grow with intention and clarity. Inspired by the hummingbird’s ability to fly backward before moving forward, we believe that reflection is key to sustainable success. Our mission is to help organizations find clarity, build strategic foundations, and navigate growth with purpose.

Hi, I’m Jessica! For more than two decades, I’ve helped organizations and leaders bring clarity to complexity—whether that means navigating change, optimizing operations, or building strategic marketing and leadership systems that actually work.
I’ve led high-impact initiatives for brands like Verizon, Bud Light, Burger King, and the U.S. Army, and my work has ranged from managing $40M in government contracts to helping Lindenwood University increase student enrollment by 9%. But beyond the numbers and big-name clients, what drives me is helping organizations function better so their people can thrive.
As a certified PROSCI Change Practitioner, I bring a people-first, purpose-driven approach to organizational growth. Today, I lead The Hummingbird Group LLC, where we provide fractional Chief-of-Staff support, nonprofit advising, and tailored coaching services. I also created the Build With Clarity milestone-based business coaching program and the companion Build With Clarity Journal—tools designed to help entrepreneurs and small business leaders set priorities, track progress, and translate vision into action.
Alongside this, I offer 1:1 Accountability Coaching, giving leaders the structure and consistency they need to follow through on their goals.

The Story Behind The Hummingbird
For me, the hummingbird isn’t just a symbol of agility, resilience, and strength, it’s deeply personal. Growing up, my father and I would sit together at the kitchen table, watching hummingbirds flit between the feeders he had carefully placed outside. It was our quiet ritual, a moment of connection and wonder. Long after he passed, hummingbirds remained a source of inspiration. And they continue to be a reminder that even the smallest beings can do incredible things.
That belief is woven into the foundation of The Hummingbird Group. Like the hummingbird, businesses and organizations must be nimble yet purposeful, capable of moving in any direction to adapt, grow, and thrive. Just as my father and I marveled at the precision and beauty of these tiny creatures, I bring that same appreciation for careful strategy, dynamic movement, and meaningful transformation to my work.
I built The Hummingbird Group not just to help organizations navigate change but to ensure they do so with intention, agility, and heart. True growth involves understanding where you’ve been, embracing your journey, and having the courage to take flight in new directions.
